About us

Operating upon a foundation of Christian principles and offering service regardless of race, religion or creed, NAYC has over 45 years experience in providing people with opportunities.

Action Centres UK has developed some of the finest residential and activity facilities of any youth association, with its modern Conference Centres, wide ranging and wonderfully equipped Activity Centres together catering for well over a hundred thousand people every year. The highly motivated management team includes the HQ staff, the managers of all the varied projects, highly skilled instructors, dedicated hospitality teams, volunteers and a host of others involved in the every day activities of all the Centres.

10 years ago Action Centres UK was attracting something like 30,000 people a year. That figure has now grown to in excess of 100,000 a year. That measure of success speaks for itself!

Our centres

Benham Sports Arena – a modern Christian conference centre in the heart of Northamptonshire. Opened in 1990 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, King’s Park offers a range of superb facilities suitable for every event.

Church weekends, business conferences, breakfast meetings, working lunches and training events can be held on a day group or residential basis. Together with the adjacent Benham Sports Arena and Indoor / Outdoor Tennis Centre, King’s Park is an ideal venue for schools, youth groups and sports camps, as well as offering leisure activities for visiting groups.

Pioneer Centre is beautifully situated on the edge of the Wyre Forest, within easy reach of Birmingham and the nation’s motorway network; close enough to be accessible but far enough away to be on a different planet.

Pioneer Centre & Action Centres UK have a combined experience of over 55 years in looking after young people. Accommodation, adventure activities, lounges and dining rooms serviced by staff keen to help in anyway, ensure your stay is a most rewarding experience, whether it be a youth club of 24, an entire year group of 200 or International event for 300.

Whitemoor Lakes - For the past 7 years NAYC / Action Centres UK has been working with Wide Horizons to seek a positive use for Lakes created as a result of sand and gravel extraction at Whitemoor Haye and Sittles Farms near Alrewas in Staffordshire, opposite the National Memorial Arboretum. Planning Permission was granted in August 2007 for Whitemoor Lakes, a brand new 300-bed facility, with a similar purpose to Pioneer Centre. Whitemoor Lakes will seek to offer accommodation with an emphasis on supporting family life, learning and enjoying new activities together, and offering programmes that encompass development of body, mind and spirit. We envisage the Centre will include a team of young people from across the world, involved in hospitality and activities, helping to create an environment of integration between different ethnic groups from various nations and cultures.

Whitemoor Lakes will lead the way in providing groups with the perfect environment for residential events.
