Our Organisation

Elac Study Vacations have been organising and teaching English Language Courses for more than twenty years. Founded in Eastbourne, we now run residential and family stay courses in a variety of locations. Our programmes offer young people from all over the world a course combining classroom tuition with cultural excursions, project work and sports.

Our Staff team

Elac summer schools offer great opportunities for teachers and activity leaders, and for this reason many of our staff return to work for us year after year. We provide well organised courses in attractive locations with excellent facilities. If you are looking to develop your skills as part of a supportive and professional team; if you want to work in a friendly, enjoyable and motivating environment; or if you like the possibility of progressing in future into centre management...then come and join the team.

Our Centres

Eastbourne College
Eastbourne College has an enviable position on the south coast: a short walk from both the town and the beach. The College, which has all the charm and style of a traditional English Independent School, is hugely popular every year with students.

St Leonards School
St. Leonards School is a beautiful, traditional boarding school: just the picture of 'Hogwarts' that many students come expecting to find! The school facilities, however, are quite superb, and the well-equipped classrooms are light and spacious. A terrific environment to work in.

University of Kingston (London)
Teachers who like the buzz of being close to the capital with plenty of opportunities to visit it, will like Kingston University. The university's attractive buildings are a blend of old and new and are located on a series of tree-lined terraces. The modern teaching block has classrooms equipped with the latest teaching facilities and audio visual aids.

University of South Wales
Trinity College (now an important part of the University of South Wales) was founded in 1848 as a teacher training college. The campus is a delightful blend of the old and new with superb social facilities including a theatre and terrific student union. Be assured of a warm welcome here!

University of Nottingham
Opened in 1999, this modern facility is compact and stunning. It has everything a vibrant and varied summer course could need, within an award-wining campus setting. All classrooms are equipped with the most modern teaching facilities and audio visual aids. The centre also offers a great range of excursions, north and south from Nottingham.
