Karibuni are a small independent ski and snowboard chalet operator based in the French Alps, near the village of La Clusaz. Our chalets are comfortable and homely with a very friendly feel. All rooms are ensuite and we also have big lounges, TV rooms and spacious dining areas as well as a large, well stocked bar and a fully functional ski hire room in our main chalet. The skiing here is excellent with over 220km of pistes. Offering everything from beginner runs to off piste descents, there is something for everyone.

It is essential for our guests to feel cared for and welcome when on holiday with us, whilst knowing that nothing they ask for is too much trouble, and everything will be delivered with a smile! The key to this is our carefully hand-picked chalet teams. Our staff are the face of Karibuni and are consequently crucial in maintaining our strong reputation as great holiday providers within the industry.

The Resort

Our Chalet breaks are based in the small village of St Jean de Sixt, situated just 2km from both ski villages of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand in the Aravis region of the French Alps.

The Village of St Jean de Sixt sits at 1000m but the skiing is mostly all higher up at 1600-2600m and the snow record is particularly good. Many of the slopes face north or northeast and trees shelter some sections. During the particularly challenging snow conditions of the 2006/07 season experienced by the whole of the French Alps, all our guests were able to ski here every day. This was down to the excellent work of the mountain teams, the pisteurs and the numerous snow cannons as well as the geography of the slopes.
