LINGOLINO™ was launched in 2005 by the Austrian-Canadian Stefan Czarnecki. The concept: learning a language, learning about different cultures, meeting new friends and having a lot of fun - without having to travel! The main idea is to create an environment which supports the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of the child and to provide a challenging intellectual environment for exploring new languages and cultures. The participants are to develop a respect for people from a variety of cultural and racial backgrounds as well as a lasting commitment to international understanding. In connection to this, cultural activities are also integrated into the language program. By means of short presentations, stories, drama, music and international cooking, the participants will take a unique journey into the trainer's country of origin. Working for LINGOLINO™You will be working at different sites in Austria and Germany for two to ten weeks. » You might be working alone at a campsite or with other counselors Because we are dependent on registrations, scheduling is often a last-minute task. Trainers are told one week before at the latest where they are required to be the following week. This requires a great deal of patience and especially a lot of flexibility, an ability which is required from all trainers. Some weeks there may not be enough work for everybody, so this will provide you with the opportunity to explore the local area. You will not be paid when not working, however you will be able to stay at the base camp free of charge. Benefits» Free bed and breakfast (at the sites and on the weekends if you don't travel) LINGOLINO™ has campsites in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Trainers are required to travel quite frequently while teaching camps. This could mean travelling to a campsite every day, or going there on weekends. On weekends, this could mean travelling for up to five or six hours! While teaching, your commute should stay within 50 minutes. Trainers are also required to have with them a small carry-on-suitcase with camp materials. You will either stay at a bed & breakfast directly at the campsite or at a house with a hall-type setting with beds or mattresses. All the accommodations are of a good standard, hygienic and clean and with access to public transportation. Note that when staying at a hall-type setting, the washing facilities will have to be shared. Travel CostsLINGOLINO™ does not cover the costs for coming to Austria. Airfares within Europe are very cheap however. We will however cover the costs of getting to work every day if you do not live at the campsite. |
