You could be working in any of the following venues: The Royal Albert Hall The Royal Albert Hall has a long and rich history as one of the world's leading entertaining venues. Since its opening concert in 1871 over 150,000 performances have taken place inside the Auditorium. Performances over the years have included The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Sting, the Kaiser Chiefs and of course the Proms. As well as concerts, the hall has also hosted tennis matches, fashion shows, ice skating and film premiers. Hatfield House Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, just 21 miles north of London, is a fine Jacobean House and Garden in a spectacular countryside setting. Thoughout the year the house hosts various events, including outdoor theatre, wedding receptions and formal dinners. The British Library The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and one of the world's greatest libraries. It houses a collection of 150 million items, in most known languages, these include the Magna Carta, Lindisfarne Gospels, Leonardo da Vinci's Notebook, The Times first edition from 18 March 1788, Beatles manuscripts, and the recording of Nelson Mandela's trial speech. Royal Horticultural Halls The Royal Horticultural Halls are made up of The Lawrence Hall and The Lindley Hall in Central London, and The Glasshouse in Wisley. The Lawrence Hall is a unique art deco building with a high vaulted ceiling and is used as a multi-purpose venue. The Classic Edwardian structure of the Lindley Hall with it'd large glass is used for banquets, fashion shows and product launches. The Glasshouse contains three climatic zones feturing more than 5000 plants and a waterfall, and provides guests with a truely unique event. Sommerset House Over the years, Sommerset House was home to the Navy Board, the Royal Academy and Royal Society, and a huge variety of 'publick offices', ranging from The Surveyor General to Births, Marriages, and Deaths. Today it's a major cultural hub hosting music concerts, open-air film screenings and houseing several permanent art exhibitions. Royal Naval College With the departure of the Navy from Greenwich in December 1998, responsibility for the Old Royal Naval College passed to the Greenwich Foundation. It now hosts various events such as wedding recptions, banquets, conferences as well as being used as a location for film and television productions. Dartmouth House Dartmouth House is an important heritage building, sumptuously remodelled and refurbished in the 1890s by Lord Revelstoke, who created a grand town mansion in the Anglo-French style. The House has become a popular venue in London for the hosting of weddings, conferences, magazine shoots, receptions, lectures and corporate entertaining. |
