Nottinghamshire County Council operate three Adventure Bases, The Mill Adventure Base (Sutton in Ashfield), Lakeside Adventure Base (Holme Pierrepont) and Sandhill Lake Adventure Base (Worksop). These are available for groups (schools, youth clubs, voluntary organisations) to book into and take part in a range of activities, either as a two hour taster session or as a longer course leading to qualifications and skills development. These include a variety of both water and land based activities. There are also opportunities for young people to take part on a training course.
