The Purpose of MOTIV8

MOTIV8 exists to reduce, prevent or divert young people from offending behaviour.

MOTIV8 achieves this by engaging with the most at risk of offending or those already offending.

Young people participate in one or more activities and receive support to increase their chances of non-offending behaviour.

We work with young people aged between 8 and 25 years and currently our focus is on 11 - 17 year olds.

Diversion from offending can mean PREVENTING high risk young people from ever becoming involved; REDUCING young people’s offending behaviour or STOPPING their offending altogether.

Motiv8 applies the evidence based Risk and Protective Factors model in our work.
