Outward Bound® is the most famous of all adventure brand names with centres in over 40 countries worldwide.

We provide adventure courses for everyone - in the last three years in the UK, more than 50,000 young people have experienced for themselves our co-founder Kurt Hahn's philosophy, 'I can'.

The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity and the umbrella body for the separate Outward Bound® organisations, including Outward Bound® Metro and Outward Bound® Professional.

Our residential courses for schools & colleges offer far more than adventure holidays and our instructors are key to the success. They are men and women who want to share their passion and enthusiasm for people, the outdoors and learning.

We have over 65 years' experience of partnering schools and colleges in delivering the outdoor and residential elements of the national curriculum, with unparalleled levels of safety.

We support key educational initiatives such as Schools of Ambition, Extended Schools and Every Child Matters. We cover subjects as diverse as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, citizenship and key skills. We also give our participants something they can't learn in a classroom - greater respect for themselves and their own abilities.
