Guildford Spectrum is the most exciting leisure complex in the UK attracting 1.8 million visits each year. The award-winning complex is a one-stop shop facility with a whole range of sporting and fun activities, including ice skating, ten-pin bowling and swimming. Professional ice hockey and basketball add to the programme of regular spectator events held at the centre.

We currently have some exciting part time and seasonal job opportunities within the Sport & Leisure department. The largest department within Spectrum, it includes 4 swimming pools, a versatile multi-court sports arena, squash courts and an all weather athletics track.

Facilities

The Lido
Guildford's open-air pool, the Lido, is open for the summer season from April to mid September. Set in 4.5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and heated to 26 degrees centigrade, the Olympic sized pool is a great place to chill out, meet friends, picnic and, of course, do some serious swimming!

Sports Arena
The superb 1600m2 Sports Arena has a semi sprung beech wood floor and has seating for up to 1500 spectators. With capacity for up to ten badminton courts; two 5-a-side football pitches; two basketball courts; two volleyball courts or a combination of these.

The Spectrum Sports Arena is home to the British Basketball League Champions, Guildford Heat.

Swimming Pool
Spectrum has a magnificent complex of four pools with a variety of sessions for beginners and splashers, to serious swimmers and divers.

The Leisure Pool is an exciting area with fun features including flumes, tyre ride, bubble beds, sprays and a wave machine.

Ice Rink
Guildford Spectrum houses an Olympic sized ice rink which is used by thousands of people each week.

The Spectrum is also home to the Guildford Flames ice hockey team who are the 2006/2007 Premier Cup Champions.

Location

BY CAR
From M25 London Orbital
Exit motorway at junction 10 (signposted London S.W./Guildford/Kingston) and follow A3 (S).
Continue on the A3 for approximately 7 miles.
Leave the A3 at the A322
Guildford/Horsham/Bagshot/Aldershot exit.
At the end of the slip road turn left towards Guildford and immediately left onto Parkway.
Continue on Parkway for half a mile to Guildford Spectrum.

From A3 Northbound
Follow the A3 until the Guildford (A322) exit. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit (A25). Remain on the A25 for approximately one mile. At the turn for London, continue straight onto Parkway and follow for half a mile to Guildford Spectrum.

From Dorking
Follow the A25 towards Guildford. Turn right on entering Guildford to remain on the A25, (Boxgrove Road). At the roundabout take the second exit and Guildford Spectrum is on the right hand side.

BY TRAIN
From London Road Station
Turn left out of the station into York Road. Turn left at the Traffic lights on to London Road. Continue along London Road until you reach Stoke Park. Cross the park. Spectrum is located on the opposite side of the A25 to Stoke Park.

From Guildford Main Station
Turn right out of the station. Taxis are available, or walk down the hill following signs to the Town Centre and Friary Bus Station. Follow directions by Bus.

BY BUS
A link bus operates between the Friary Bus Station and Guildford Spectrum. It is the number 100 bus and it departs every 12 minutes throughout the day.
