Charity fundraising and a job with Wesser are not only for those seeking permanent employment. We also offer fantastic student jobs and work experience, enabling you to learn new skills all of which are highly valued by other graduate employers. Wesser provides live-in accommodation for all of our fundraisers making this ideal work experience for students in the UK or for travellers and backpackers from abroad. We also offer a fantastic package for ambitious individuals who are looking for a long-term opportunity in charity fundraising and those who want to have a great professional future. Wesser is a totally unique organisation offering a truly unique working experience. This is more than just a job... it's a way of life. The pioneer of face-to-face fundraising! Starting in Germany in 1968 Helmut Wesser founded Wesser Ltd, and now fewer than 40 years on, Wesser is one of Europe's leading charity fundraising organisations concerning direct marketing and promotion for the most important relief organisations and ecology groups. We have offices in the UK, Switzerland, Austria, Spain and our head office in Germany, each raising funds for charities including the Swiss Red Cross, the World Wildlife Fund and St John Ambulance. During our many years we have raised over 4 million supporters and more than £200,000,000 for worthy charities throughout Europe. Wesser and Partner was established in the UK in 1998 and since that time have worked solely in partnership with St John Ambulance, the UK's leading provider of first aid. Through our door-to-door campaigns we have raised over £3 million for the charity and aim to have raised £12 million by 2010. The Job RoleWesser and Partner are proud to present to you the position of PROMOTIONAL FUNDRAISER. This job role is mentally challenging, physically demanding but exceedingly gratifying. You will be required to live and work in a team of 5-8 people, in one of our many campaign locations across the UK. Working in residential areas only you will talk to members of the public about the work of our charity partner St. John Ambulance and ask the homeowner if they would like to make a donation to the charity. All our fundraisers are required to work a full 40-hour-week, while there is flexibility to the working week the majority of our fundraisers work 6 days Tuesday - Sunday; the usual working day is 12:00 - 20:00 including breaks. These times and days ensure that you maximise your success as a fundraiser. "Wesser really does make earning money as entertaining and as unusual as possible!"
Alex Young, Wakefield Team, Summer 2006 The Benefits Wesser and Partner make one promise to all of our fundraisers, the promise that you will be well taken care of. We realise that a job charity fundraising is no easy task and that working for Wesser and Partner is no ordinary job, it is a unique organisation and a unique experience. As a company we pride ourselves upon the benefits package that we provide, from the house to the car, the uniform to the culture; we ensure that our success is shared between all those who make it happen… you, the successful fundraiser! The Pay The pay structure is very much based upon the results that you achieve and the individual effort that you contribute; put simply, the harder you work, the more you be will be paid. Our payment structure is configured to encourage you to continue to earn a higher income and is based on achievable targets. If the targets we have in place were not achievable, then we we would not be able to function as an organisation! Most people who start work with Wesser have limited or no work experience in this field. Therefore we provide for you a rigorous training process to set you up well to perform. For the first 80 hours of the training period a sum of £480 is paid to the new starter provided that they put in the effort needed to learn the skills required. From the 3rd week, your weekly commission fee is calculated based on the amount of supporters and donations raised and starts from £280 per week. In addition, we have other bonuses in place which are payable over the course of the year. All commission and bonuses have no upper limit at which the pay is capped. Therefore we are offering you the chance to earn an uncapped sum of money, sticking loyally to the true sense of performance related pay. If as a new fundraiser you complete:
